Monday (4/6)

  • RL Check tomorrow(signature & 2.5 hours required)

  • WM Vocabulary (10 mins, nightly this week)

  • Public School Review Use article to fill out Research: Persuasive Support handout. (Shared on Google. You do not need to print the handout. We will pull it up in class, on Google.)

Tuesday(4/7)

  • Finish any unfinished classwork

  • Practice your WM for at least 10 minutes

  • Choose 3 Persuasive Essay Topics. (List the topic number and topic.) Rank in order 1st-3rd Choice.


Wednesday(4/8)
  • Practice WM Words for at least 10 minutes (They will be part of a quiz next Wednesday.)
  • Work on Persuasive Essay: Information Gathering and Notetaking. (Research can count on RL.)

Thursday(4/9)

  • Continue working on Persuasive Essay. Use the checklist on the back of your rubric and follow the guidelines. You need to have at least 3 topics(key claims) that you can support in 3 separate body paragraphs of your essay. We will most likely be ready to craft thesis statements tomorrow.

  • Study WM vocabulary

Friday(4/10)

  • Study your WM words each day for at least 10 minutes.

  • Continue working through Persuasive Essay Checklist: We will not all be at the same spot on our checklist, but you should be finished with your research by this weekend. Also, if your thesis statement is not complete write a draft and bring it in on Monday. The final paper is due Friday. If you work on your persuasive map, save a copy in your Y drive. You will be able to reopen the copy by going through the Persuasive Map site and choosing 'open'.
